Until Nationalisation of Coal Mines, 1972
Our Humble Beginnings
Long story of three generations. Briefly, service to the nation prior to its nationalisation, Mr. AlokeAgarwalla's family wereesrstwhile Coal mines owners in Jharia, Raniganj etc.

1978 – Entry into contractual mining and earth moving operations
Post nationalisation, M/s Ravi Udyogwas formed as a partnership firm establishing sizeable credentials in road projects, site leveling and excavation of minerals.

1989 – Entry into manufacturing of industrial explosives
The company which was originally assimilated in the year 1989 by Mr. R. L Mukherjee was finally handed over to the present management i.e. Black Diamond Explosives (P) Ltd. (BDEPL) in June 1998. The management of BDEPL has diversified interest in Large Dia Cartridge Explosives in all diameter, Site Mixed Emulsion Explosives with its unit situated in Asansol, West Bengal.

2011 – Manufacturing of Railway Boggies and Heavy Steel Fabrication Unit
In its constant endevour to diversify, the promoters further decided to take over AnupMalleables Limited, a company engaged in manufacturing railway boggiesand having a heavy steel fabrication unit with its plant situated in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.

2012 Prefabricated Structures & Porta Cabins
Viewing the bullish Indian economic scenario and the rising demand for housing, the promoters has ventured into "pre-fab" structures and manufacturing of Porta Cabins which are not only cost effective but time saving, as well.

2014 Entry into mining Again
Hilltop came into existence reinitiating a business that was in the very grain of the promoter. Soon after its formation, the company was awarded coal mine projects in Jharkhand and is in a constant quest to expand to various other regions.
